Product information / Ammonium sulphate (NH4)2SO4
Characteristics
Ammonium sulphate is a colourless salt that easily dissolves in water. During the dissolving process, a small amount of foam is produced. The molecular weight is 132,14 g/mole.

General information
Moist ammonium sulphate and ammonium sulphate solutions react slightly acidic. In presence of material that give an alkaline reaction, ammonia will form. Many metals, e.g. iron and zinc, are affected by ammonium sulphate in combination with moisture. Aluminium and stainless steel are inert in the reaction with ammonium sulphate.
